Before 777 SP "C" and ASN SP1 my radar during storm was showing vivid visualization with many red areas.

Now after latest PMDG and ASN updates my radar is hardly showing something. 

To see anything during storm I must rotate GAIN ( max clockwise position ), then I see weather visualization but even then it is hard to see red areas, mostly everything is green.

Before all updates I never touch or change GAIN, now to see something I must set it to max.

Anyone else have similar experience ? 

3D clouds still enabled in FSX?

Yes, I did not change any FSX settings recently.

Nope, have not seen this nor reports of this... go look for bad weather like in NW today.

You should have tried landing in Moscow last Monday morning. :o
