Some times poor speech recognition

Featured Replies

Good Morning,

i have the problem in the PMDG 777 that he hears "zero six" instead of "units" Every time does not matter how many times i say it. It does work very good in my 737NGX and there i have nor problem. I wonder because you told, that it is the same recognition.

Sure, i speak UNITS and he always hears ZERO SIX. It is only not working in fs2crew 777.

In my PMDG 737 NGX it is all ok and he understand me.

UNITS

The NGX version is slightly different.

I think the problem is you're not using the expected speech phrase in full.

Please say this in full as a single sentence.

VOICE CONTROL 'TRIM' challenge example syntax: 4 POINT ZERO UNITS ZERO AND ZERO

  • 8 months later...

I was having this same problem. I guess the issue is in the FS2Crew 777 manual it does give the example to one decimal place but doesn't say you shouldn't go to two decimal places which is how it is displayed in the FMC and on the flight controls page. If it was 4.00 units, like it would be displayed in the FMC, people probably wouldn't say "four point zero zero units". They'd probably just leave off the second zero but if it was 2.75, which is a common setting I see on the 777-200, I think many would say "two point seven five units" instead of two point eight units". Maybe you could add the note like in the NGX Reboot manual that specifically says it will only accept a trim setting to one decimal place. I know this issue caused me quite a bit of frustration.
