future payware

hello, there has been talk from a few contacts of mine that they will start to develop general aviation payware aircraft, using new and detailed imaging technology. They have asked my to try and get an indication from the community on which of two aircraft would be most wanted:1.Highly tuned, photoreal Cessna 150/1522.Equally detailed Cessna 182 (260se STOL model from www.260se.com)Comments and votes are certainly appreciated...thanks!

Frankly, I'd be interested in neither at this point only because they are both aircraft in a genre that's saturated with outstanding products. If your friends are talented, I suggest they consider a niche that's not been touched that often--some of the newer, leading edge aircraft like the Lancair Columbia, and the Lancair IV-P. Eaglesoft did this for the bizjet genre and they've really stolen the show when it comes to bizjets. -John

Flight 1 make a pretty good 152 although it was made at the start of FS9 so does not have all the bells and whistles, but then Just Flight have just released one now so another would not be needed.

I agree. Neither of these aircraft would interest me.Something I've been on the lookout for are smaller regional turboprops with full VC. The F1 ATR looks interesting to me. A Saab 340 would be cool.I also agree that the new singles would be cool. Eaglesoft is already working on a Cirrus, as is somebody else doing a freeware model.Thomas Perry

Ditto. The Lancair for sure and possibly a Mooney which is truly on of the "Hall of Fame" GA aircraft of all time. There may be a top quality payware Mooney but I don't know about it.

>I am still waiting for a Baron b55 which to my knowledge>doesn't exist at all for fs yet.>Hi GeoffI agree although the upcoming Aeroworx BE58 looks very nice so far.http://be58.aeroworx.com/If it's of the same quality as the King Air they released then it's going to be some product. As for the original question, the last thing we need right now are two more "highly detailed" spamcans on the market. Boring, Boring!CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair1.gif

Classic Cessna 182 ( models P or Q ) would be very nice but without this funky front STOL wing. Ericson

LY3K OMG DO T3H 737!11111!1OMBGWTFLOLZ!111Do something more rare in the FS world and off the beaten path. Try a Pacer, perhaps?

Trouble for me is a B58 besides looking totally different, has the newer instrument arrangement-like the present Fs b58 and new dreamfleet a36.Still hoping someone does a B55-there is a nitch-it is one of the most popular twins out there! It is amazing with all the freeware/payware aircraft out there that still not one exists.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

I agree a B55 would be nice although there are a glut of recip twins around these days, and turboprops for that matter. I agree that more obscure aircraft would be better but for payware producers don't sell well enough. I am still campaigning to certain parties for a Mosquito!Oh well, we live in hope! cheershttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair1.gif

First, I'm a real skeptic so I won't believe this "new and detailed imaging technology" is so great until I actually see it.That said, a good Lancair would be fun...there is a freeware Legacy 2000 which is quite fun, especially with Aaron Swindle's payware engine sounds. But they make many more models.Dunno about Mooney - the default one is quite OK. Not great, but I've found some good replacement airfiles and the VC was new for FS2004.Definitely not C152, there are several payware and freeware versions available already. There is no good alternative to the default C182. If you make one, please provide the glass panel as this would make the aircraft different from all the other payware Cessnas and Pipers currently available :)
