November 8, 201411 yr Hi, This week we had a new Nvidia driver announcement. Do we simply install the new driver or do we have to press the APPLY button on the Fixer interface? I ask this because we know we have to reapply the Nvidia Inspector settings after driver upgrades. November 8, 201411 yr I think you can just install. Make sure to ininstall the old driver first through add/remove programs. Install the driver as clean install and you should be good to go. Mark CYYZ
November 8, 201411 yr Commercial Member That's an interesting question. Mark's answer is correct, indeed if you switched Gpu or changed brand of Gpu you wouldn't need to do anything. The hardware level shader optimisation occurs when the game runs. My FSX Analysis Blog
November 8, 201411 yr Author Thanks folks. I had to use the apply button anyway, because I adjusted my Inspector AA settings to conform to the AA Table in the Fixer manual. Other great Fixer feature is that when you change any effect via an addon interface, the Fixer detects it and asks for reapplying. For instance, if you change FTX Secondary Roads settings.
