December 10, 201411 yr ok, i think my problem is that i have 2 of them (different brands, different sizes, one if for FMS and the other is for center gauges and other gauges) and i am using the elo touch screen software for both of them, i installed the drivers for this monitor however i am unable to locate any software for it (the dell toucscreen software for this particular monitor) Since i already had one of them working i used the same software which works on both. If i can find the dell software i will try to see if that software can work on both of the monitors. I was thinking about getting an over lay for the other 4 monitors in the sim, that is out of the question at this time. December 10, 201411 yr Removing and switching drivers had no cure. Looks like you are lucky gregg. Thanks for your help! December 10, 201411 yr Same here. I have to load Linda first and then connect the touch screen and Im set for the day as long as I dont disconnect Linda again ZORAN
December 10, 201411 yr Just a note...I have a Dell touchscreen as one of my monitors and I don't get this problem with 2.5. Gregg Gregg, what is 2.5? ZORAN
December 10, 201411 yr LINDA version 2.5. To be clear, I was using 2.0 up until last week and it was fine too. I just thought I saw someone mention that they're using 2.5 somewhere up above in the thread. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. December 10, 201411 yr 2.5 is pinned at the top here... http://forum.avsim.net/forum/427-linda-downloads/ 2.0 is in there somewhere. I have the old v1 MCP Combo and there was some fear that it wouldn't work but all is well. Gregg Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. December 10, 201411 yr Good and bad news. Good news is the pointer not valid message relating to the touch screen no longer appears however bad news is I get a "linda2 "device can not be opened" message even though the opening screen says everything is okay. I will start a new thread for it in support , Im sure its fixable ZORAN
December 10, 201411 yr 2.0 is in there somewhere. I have the old v1 MCP Combo and there was some fear that it wouldn't work but all is well. LINDA 2.0 link has been removed. Update to 2.5 in test and I am looking at all reports of Device not opening to find the common cause. December 10, 201411 yr LINDA 2.0 link has been removed. Update to 2.5 in test and I am looking at all reports of Device not opening to find the common cause. What is that? A dialog box? Or is it the MCP Combo wrong port thing? I haven't gotten it. The one thing I did have to do was to downgrade all of my USB ports to 2.0 to get them consistently connected. I never got errors but stuff wouldn't connect up. I thought it was just because some of my stuff is old or, perhaps, power drain or something. I have no idea if it's in any way related to this thread. Gregg Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. December 10, 201411 yr Yeah its a dialog box that pops up when some touch screens are installed. ZORAN
