Will we ever see this plane as it was mentioned a while ago now and no more info has been released and it was to appear somewhere in between the 737 or 777 been waiting for this for ages for a decent model to use in fseconomy.

 

Any news rumours on this or is development stopped

It will come eventually, of that I'm sure.

But I wouldn't live with any expectation of it in a certain timeframe, as it's seems to be a 'filler' activity for PMDG - something they work on perhaps (that's perhaps) not to a linear, time-based schedule, but as and when resources permit.

Yes I came to that conclusion also. Was very excited by the original announcement - now just accepted that it will come when it comes - and that I may no longer be earning a salary when it does finally come so may not be able to buy it!!

Yes after I retired I had to start picking and choosing.

With the time they are taking, I'm betting we will see some very unique features added to this plane. Something like A2A's AccuSim maintenance and walkaround program only much greater.

Surely not. As Craig already mentioned, the DC-6 is a filler project for PMDG. The developers do only work on it when their work on other projects like the 777 or 747v2 is done. That's why it take so long.

 

But even without these features I'm sure that the PMDG DC-6 will be an excellent addon. I'm really looking forward to it.

Well apparently the unique feature is that it will be on Xplane first.
