I had a problem during ascent.

I wanted to rise up to FL 310. average load,FL was calculated-so that should be no problem.

At one point the fmc displayed BUFFET ALERT,and the plane could not hold or ascent- the plane slowed down and descended. It came to stall and I had no chance to stabilize the airplane.

Plane faults were disabled.

Has anyone a helpful hint?

Thanks

Wow, eleven duplicate posts? Careful, AVSIM is slow to post new topics and you only have to click once.  Also, please be aware that a full name is requested in the PMDG forums.

First thing to check is your TAT or SAT (air temps), there are some conditions that result in unrealistic temps which reduces engine thrust to nil.  If that's not it, please provide a little more info such as the initial altitude before the attempted climb to FL310, IAS, weight etc.

Sorry for my multi posts.

I had a problem with my browser.

Sorry!!

Hi,

So it sounds like this was a step climb; did you select MAX ANGLE or MAX RATE in the FMC CLB page or was it flying a standard climb profile to FL310?  Also give wind component, speed and TAT prior to the climb, if you recall.

Thanks,

Joe
