A2A Cherokee 180 Question

Featured Replies

I purchased the A2A 180 and I must say that it is very realistic and I love to fly it. My question is the vision out the front wind screen, it appears not as clear as the side wind screens? I flew it last night and could not even see the runway lights or how to taxi? Side screen vision was crystal clear. Is this normal? Am I missing something? Taxing, I could not see the blue RW markers at all, just the dim landing light out the front windscreen, however, after I took off the front vision cleared up until I started to land then as I set up for final and got to about 1000 ft. AGL the front windscreen fogged up again and could not see. This is using real time weather at Friday Harbor airport (KFHR). Weather was clear an 28 degrees. Any help will be appreciated.

Try turning on the cabin heat. That works in the Cessna 182T.

The Cherokee also has a defroster - it's the middle pull rod on the bottom right of the cockpit panel - between the cockpit vent and heater.

You can also turn on the defroster via the Shift-3 pop-up.

And on the sides, near the floor, are two ventilation holes. They look like green half 'cups', with a small lever above them. Just pull the lever to the other side to open the ventilation. This, and the two option mentioned above, are the functions there are in this aircraft to keep your windows clean.

Reading these replies, it suddenly hit me how wonderful flight sims have become - darn near like the real thing!

Cudos to A2A and other developers for bringing such realism to this hobby!

A2A are about the most realistic GA aircraft you'll find. I bought my first early this year and by now I've got the Cherokee, the C182 and the P-51 civilian and I hardly touched my other aircraft since I've got those. Accusim rules! :P

Cheers!

Hey pilots thank you for your info. Yes, with the windows fogging up it is just like the real thing. You have to do the same as when driving your car. I really like the A2A aircraft. Thanks again!
