Is is possible to keep all my fsx Addons and system files when I install a new mobo, what I mean is after I boot my pc with the new mobo I will be able to start fsx no problems with all my Addons still there from the old mobo

And I will not have to reinstall fsx

Is that even possible....?

Meaning I do not have to reinstall fsx.

Is that even .... Possible......?

That depends on your Windows setup.

If you have too many changes to your system, you might need to reactivate Windows again, and if the chipset/hardware is AMD => Nvidia or vise versa. then there may be driver and stability problems until you do a re-install of the OS.

Technically, you should not have to re install FSX,but the OS stability may determine this rather than FSX itself.

There maybe some activation issues with some of your addons,so let the support team know you've just bought some new hardware.

They should be able to assist you.

If you lost your FSX disks, you may have to buy a new copy, unless you know your activation code.

I've succesfully upgraded my mainboard/cpu (several times) using Windows 7 without ever losing a single bit/byte/whatever of data. Reactivation of FSX, Windows, and some payware aircraft were needed though. I imagine Windows 8 would be similar.

Good luck!
