May 6, 200521 yr Dear Toni,Even I had trouble with activation of the product, and after I completely read the manual of activation, I saw where my mistake was and the problem was solved. Saying that, I skimmed the activation manual the first time, (thinking I knew the procedure as I had other Ariane models before . . they've changed the process) and I used the off line, E mail activation, but still when you develope the keys, it has to come from the computer you are using the software on or they will NOT work. I will say it IS a most complicated system, and a huge pain in the ####, but it does work, and I doubt if we'll be seeing any more Ariane stuff on the free 'hacked' boards, and that in itself is a plus for all software developers.On another point, Mom always told me you get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar . . . and its true. If the activation manual is read, activation is a cinch -- if you just skim it like I did, well, you're sure to fail.And lastly, the new 700 works -- and it works well, and I am pleased with it's quality and flight model. I also think their new 2D1 deal with the VC is something that most developers will use down the line to eliminate the 2D/VC problem as I won't fly without a 2D panel and I know there are lots who feel the same way.All in all, the process might be a pain, but the new aircraft is pretty cool. May 6, 200521 yr No,I do understand Toni and his argument.Because of their pricing and activation process,it's easy to be angry at Ariane,alltought not entitled too.However i agree with you fully.The 700 is a very good addon,had it for a week,and haven't touched another well known brand i also have since then.The activation works good for me,thanks too ariane's support,and the aicraft flies just amazing.The only thing i feel lacking in it,is a worldwide complete navdata.Thats because i think the navdata supplied with it, is a little thin.I've contacted Ariane and they are more than willing to fix it.

Actually it is not really a NEW file. I checked all the log-files the Ariane- Software generated with a programme named "Compare It!" - they are all identical, except that I erased the following part in the log-file
May 7, 200521 yr I had problems with online activation process, so carried out the offline activation process. In the auto-generated log file that you send to ariane, the subject header must contact the following:Ariane Product Registration RequestThen the content of the email must contain:NameEmailOrder ID Transaction Code Auto-Generated CodeYou'll then get a reply back from Ariane, which gives you the activation. Important. You must copy the whole of the email from 'Dear...' to 'Thank you for shopping with Ariane AirSHOP'You need to do this for both the FMC activation AND the Pushback.Hope this helps.Cheers

May 7, 200521 yr The email you received from them is absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. For 100 Euros he should be willing to provide you phone support, that price is absolutely ridiculous considering the joke of support you get. My advice is demand a refund, and remove the product.Stay away from any company that does this, if they are unwilling to help you install the bloody thing they don't deserve anyone's business. I highly recommend that any future purchases you make be from a company with a good reputation - Flight1, PMDG, and Aerosoft are 3 good examples, PMDG has an excellent 737 NG which is one of the best FS addons out there, AND it doesn't make customers jump hoops backwards while balancing an egg on their nose to install the bloody thing. I'm very sorry to hear that you get burned, but that appears to be what happened here. For this much money don't let it go, first try to get it working, if not demand the refund, if that doesn't work go to your credit card company and explain how Ariane did not provide the product you paid for and that you want to refuse the payment. If he threatens you with legal action, it's most likely sabre rattling so ignore it, besides you have done nothing wrong. I hope this doesn't turn you off of payware, trust me not all companies are like this - as a matter of fact very few are. Companies like Flight1 will go all out to assist you with any problem - and this is a good sign of a quality company.

May 7, 200521 yr I just bought the 700 series and also last night tried to do on-line activation and copied the ID and Password to the clipboard aand pasted it as the manual says and it kept coming back invalid passwordID.I tried that 3 times with no luck but I am connected to the internet with broadband and set up my IE as the activation manual says.I went ahead and did the offline and now just waiting for a reply,I think if you are given the chance for online and you read the manual and did all the steps right you should get a better reply than that.I took a chance with the 700 series as I had the 900 series last year and had problems with the graphics as I have a ATI 9800 video card and had blurry graphics.I than had a HD failure and lost all my files and evey payware company checked my records and sent me replacements but Ariane who was going to charge me 25 pounds to replace it which I did not do.I thought long and hard about trying again but the new 700 looks too good but so far I am back in the same mind frame when the online activation would not work. Jeff
