Quartz: The pilots of Instagram: beautiful views from the cockpit, violating rules of the air

Featured Replies

I dunno, seems the majority of the images posted were taken by the copilot.  With two pilots in the cockpit, I think a quick snapshot is safe, but then again, I'm not a real pilot.  Clowning for the camera, shows that the crew is human and has a sense of humor, but bad for company image.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

.... and the authors of this report have obviously never, EVER, used a cellphone whilst driving. :P

Stupidly expensive rig, nonplussed Memsahib, disinterested offspring and a fascinated cat as Rio.  XP11, P3Dv3 and an Oculus Rift.

Stuff like taking pictures, ect helps keep the crew awake. I wish the media would just lay off pilots. If it wasn't for them I would be able to get a job flying an RJ now but I can't thanks to the 1500 hour rule. It's hard to justify spending 50k on college,60k in training and then 4 or 5 years building time just to make 18k a year.Which is why Im trying to get in the Airforce.

I hope to see the author of that article on my manifest one day. I'll be offloading him.
