What's your day job?
Lead Programmer and IT Manager for a UK National Logistics Company. Had an Epiphany moment, threw it all in and went Long-Distance Trucking around Europe. Now retired but .... every time that I opened my curtains - it was a different view!

Excellent job guys. Thank you.

Which default airports to disable ...
Thanks for that Chris. I am looking at the Aerosoft Airports and wondered if there would be any problems or workarounds needed to have them running properly. Obviously not. Cheers mate.

Which default airports to disable ...
... when adding Payware Airport Sceneries? 'Evening Gentlemen .... A tad late to the party granted - but - I have finally discovered the delights of Payware Airports. Way back in the heady days of FSX I seem to recall having to disable some .bgl's in order to successfully run UK2000 Manchester. Do the same principles still apply or can I assume that if I give said Airports a higher priority in the Scenery Order then all wil be well? I am not sure if this is pertinent to the question but I have (FTX) Global, Vector, Europe and all 4 UK (plus Ireland) regions and also use MT6? I do understand that this topic has probably been discussed ad nauseum in the past but - when you can't find your glasses, then how are you supposed to find this topic in the Fora? [it's an age thing]. As always.... brickbats, abuse and verbal hooliganism will be viewed through the bottom of a Rosé-tinted glass. Regards,

60 Minutes look at the F35
I don't mind putting the hours in Bill - just as long as they cover the cost of the broadband! edit: RAF Woodvale Bill? Sounds like you are in training already!!

Time To Start Over Again
Sorry to hear your pain Randy - but (as per Jeroen's question), what exactly is the problem? Your VAS is good, you are 7 into a 12 shift (of your own choosing), and you DO know about the AutoCruise function in the T7 I assume? Buy a new SSD and it will probably take you twenty minutes - not twenty hours - to move stuff. Save your flight... go and have a good nights' sleep bro and tomorrow is another day.

Quoted from Toposim 64 bit Prepar3d?
Strikes me as a bit of opportunistic 'sales speak' Chas. That, allied with their latest 'bogof' offer, sounds more like an ambitious salesman trying to meet the monthly quotas. I would imagine that the likes of FreemeshX have dented their prospective customer base somewhat? p.s. It will definitely rain in the next few months.

Any verdicts in yet on Orbx NA?
Guten abend Bernd, I lived and worked in Frechen ( Köln), for three years and Deutschland is my favourite holiday and P3D flying area! Thanks for the info and tips about the NA scenery. Regards, David.

Any verdicts in yet on Orbx NA?
Many thanks for that Brian. That is exactly the type (and depth), of feedback that I was hoping for. Orbx did quite a remarkable job with the UK inasmuch as I can fly vfr with no geographical ident problems whatsoever (and even my own tiny field at egnl is instantly recognisable). My main concerns were that, as a Brit who is unfamiliar with the wider USA, and with Orbx having such huge rural areas to replicate in NA, could I be sure that what I was seeing below me was a fairly accurate 'representation' of what is actually there? Obviously, from your description, it is and I feel another credit card purchase coming on. p.s. Should you receive any 'hate-mail' from a certain Mrs J.L.Seagull about the escalation of my credit card bill then I shall deny all knowledge of this conversation ever having taken place!!

Any verdicts in yet on Orbx NA?
After the flurry of 'frustrated downloader' posts yesterday it would now seem that the forums have gone rather quiet? I have seen Rob's excellent video (but he doesn't really count because he is an ex-Brit  ). Before melting the card (yet again), It would be really interesting to get a proper perspective and thoughts from some of you veteran/native US fliers as to what Orbx have managed to achieve with this remarkably ambitious package?

Active Sky Cloud Art for FSX & P3D - Released!
I am in the process of submitting a ticket to HiFi requesting that we can label clouds (as per AI aircraft), e.g. type, speed, direction, proximity, volume, severity, possibility of death etc....

Active Sky Cloud Art for FSX & P3D - Released!
Due to one of Natures' quirks, I am one of the colour-blind statistics (as quoted in AWF's post), and I can definitely state that the multiple shades of nondescript-coloured skies seen in ASCA are exactly the same as I see in real life!
