Stupidly expensive rig, nonplussed Memsahib, disinterested offspring and a fascinated cat as Rio.  XP11, P3Dv3 and an Oculus Rift.

Looks like an F-16 from where i'm looking :D :D :D :D

Spot on.

Yikes, I was half expecting him to do an immelman on take off.

Would of been fun to be a passenger during that.

America's newest air superiority fighter.  I was looking for the drogue chute on the landing.  If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going.

Perhaps it's the new sound abatement procedures ... for both passengers and neighborhoods?  What did they do, just put two 787 engines on a 737?

Cheers, Rob.

Indeed,impressive flight characteristics.

Anyone know what the design philosophy is behind the angular (saw tooth) engine exhaust cowling?  Is it for noise reduction or is their some thrust benefit?

Cool video, reminds me of the 757, which in part this aircraft is the replacement for.

Yes, it's for noise reduction. The engine chevrons help smooth the mixing of turbine and bypass air flows (and maybe also with mixing the engine flows with ambient air).

Interesting video.  Too bad it wasn't in focus.  Maybe we can find one that is.
