AI traffic sounds from hell

Featured Replies

Folks,

I have already deleted each and every soundai directory and file from FSX, but my AI aircraft insist producing a loud sound I hear even from my closed cockpit. It's even louder than my own engines! How can I get rid of it?

Thanks!

Hi Wanthuyr,

I share your frustration when hearing aircraft & vehicle sounds when sitting in an airliner cockpit.

What I did was go to each aircraft folder and remove the Sound folder and put them into another folder (e.g. Default aircraft & vehicle sounds) in another location.   If you remove only the soundai folder, then the main folder containing the sounds to which it refers, is still active.   So go through each aircraft/vehicle that you feel is present at the airport or will interfere with your aircraft sound and remove the sound folder, then locate it elsewhere, and rename that Sound folder (e.g. A321, etc), so you will know to which aircraft/vehicle folder it belongs when you want to move it back.

Or much easier, just rename the "soundai" folder to "soundai.OFF".
