December 20, 201411 yr I managed to find the 737 600-900 software on eBay, brand new in package and received it today. I already had the standalone 600-700. Anyway, everything is great except when I'm clicking the number keys on the CDU using my mouse, from 789 to the end it types the wrong characters. I can type them in as normal via my keyboard, but the actual button when clicked put the wrong number in. 7, 8 and 9 produce 4, 5 and 6 on the CDU, while ., 0 and / produce 789. All other buttons seem to be correct. Also, when looking at the overhead and clicking M, the overhead stays open instead of taking you back to the main. Anyone see this or know how to fix these issues? Thanks, Ken

When this happens, it's usually because the screen size (widescreen versus normal) is not set correctly in the sim, I think. Not sure. Hopefully someone else can explain this, or you can go to support.precisionmanuals.com. Kyle Rodgers
December 21, 201411 yr Author Can't find any issues with my settings. Will contact support. Thanks! Ken
December 21, 201411 yr The only way round this is to drag the corner of the FMC to enlarge the window. Then your key presses will work. Peter Schluter
December 22, 201411 yr Author Ok, thanks. I'll try that. Still don't know why the M button doesn't work when I'm in overhead view.
December 22, 201411 yr Is it just the M click spot that fails to work in overhead view ? Peter Schluter
December 22, 201411 yr Author Yes, only the M. I haven't had time to try what you suggested for the CDU problem, but will do so later today.
December 22, 201411 yr Author Ok, resizing the cdu doesn't fix the problem with the wrong input problem. The M key still doesn't work while in overhead mode, but all the others do work. Maybe I'll just do an uninstall/reinstall and see what happens.
December 26, 201411 yr Ok, resizing the cdu doesn't fix the problem with the wrong input problem What is your monitor resoluton? What is your resolution set to in FS9 controls? Peter Schluter
December 26, 201411 yr Author Monitor resolution and FS9 are both set to 1920x1080. After reinstalling, the resizing does work. It's odd, because this was never a problem when I only had the 600-700 installed from download. It only started when I installed the full 600-900 package from the DVD. It's not a huge deal, just a minor annoyance.
December 26, 201411 yr This is because the FS9 737 packages were created at a time when wide screen monitors were in their infancy. If we want to use outdated oftware (as I do), we need to find many tweaks to run them successfully on modern computers and hardware. Peter Schluter
December 28, 201411 yr Author Yea, but I just find it odd the problem didn't exist when I only had the 600-700 installed. It only started with the installation of the 800-900. No big deal either way, just seems odd. Thanks for your help!
