December 23, 201411 yr During a recent conversations on TS about the race and the aircraft white list, I bought myself the Lionheart Epic LT and downloaded the freeware de Haviland Hornet. As I've mentioned elsewhere, the Epic is an interesting exercise in getting used to glass cockpits and I'm shocked to find I quite like them! Whatever next?! As for the Hornet....Jeeezz, can that thing go! I'm beginning to get my head around short, steep approaches. Any other recommendations? (not the Sabre) Looking forward to February. December 23, 201411 yr •All A2A •All PMDG •Capt Sim B-52 (low level Mach 1 runs) & C-130 (antarctic landings) •FSLabs Concorde (Heathrow - JFK wildcard) •Xtreme Prototypes X-15 (thermosphere wildcard) •Vertical Reality F/A-18 (start working on your carrier traps) That should keep you busy 'till February. You do have paypal... right?

December 23, 201411 yr Rob just likes to be prepared as you never know. I would LOVE to see a concorde run this year though. The X15 and the FA/18 you can leave off though, supersonic aircraft are forbidden hahahah well unless they are specifically needed for something.
December 23, 201411 yr Author To be on the safe side I've followed Rob's advice and bought everything! Plus some more he hasn't mentioned. Plus, I've downloaded every freeware aircraft I can find. December 23, 201411 yr I've downloaded every freeware aircraft I can find. That must make your fsx folder terabytes in size.
December 23, 201411 yr Commercial Member No, No, No Ron! That's horrible, terrible in fact. You must run a streamlined system. Google "The Racers Computer".. - Joseph - FSX Air Sports Association -
December 23, 201411 yr Author That must make your fsx folder terabytes in size. 242GB is all. Bags of room! The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
December 23, 201411 yr Really? that all, can't be. my FSX folder is nearly 62 gb in size, and thats not with half the addons some of you have. Even my virgin FSX:SE folder is 16.1 GB in size: So if you are that small, something is seriously wrong with your fsx installation
December 23, 201411 yr Author AVSIM obviously doesn't think I'm making enough posts so it threw in an extra. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
December 31, 201411 yr Rob, you left out the Vin Fiz, Curtiss Jenny, Vickers Vimy, and all the other decrepit things they've made us fly over the years for "historical themes." We wouldn't want Ron to miss out on all that fun now, would we? And we haven't had an eggbeater leg in quite a while, either... Craig Taylor
December 31, 201411 yr hahaha, the last one was a couple years ago and the airplane was very WorldWar 1 era, it barely stayed in the sky. lol Cruising at around 15 knots. lol Those are fun though.
