December 24, 201411 yr Hi All, I grabbed this bird during the sale this weekend. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the Vertical Speed in Autopilot. I hit the band on the Left (Plus and Minus sign shows up depending if you are up or down), but when I click it, nothing seem to happen. Am I missing something here? I did a google and found a post here mentioning the issue, but could not find a resolution. Just wondering if anyone else who owns this bird happens to know. ILS landing also didn't work, but I figure this VS problem has something to do with that , since I'm descending too fast.. Always seems to be 2000 up.. and 2000 down.. can't change it. Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer!
December 24, 201411 yr Author Nevermind, found the Razbam forum, guess the AP don't do VS. Jeez, if your not going to have it, don't put the control there. Glad I didn't pay full price.
December 24, 201411 yr Search this forum a few days back for Metroliner mods that include a more functional autopilot and several other enhancements Hans Soule
December 24, 201411 yr There is the option of replacing the autopilot with "Izamms" great mod. (Which contains full default VS control). But even without doing that, it is possible to increase or decrease VS in the Razbam - just not using VS control; If you assign key commands or buttons to "Autopilot_Pitch_up" and "Autopilot_Pitch_down" (or in FSUIPC these are called "AP Pitch Var Inc" and "AP Pitch Var Dec"), you can use these controls to adjust pitch (and therefore vertical speed).
December 24, 201411 yr Thanks! Does the APR switch work? I've not tried it on the default Metroliner's AP but it works on Izamm's AP mod. And also, even with the defaul Metroliner's set up, the key command for Approach ("AP_APPR_HOLD" in FSUIPC) definitely works too.
December 24, 201411 yr I'm lucky to have a go flight mcp pro and I can use it (with the go interface tool) to control VS.
