At which point does the error occur? Did you disable all addons before converting the content?

I have a fresh install of FSX-SE no addons, the error is showing at the very end of the process I have a folder with scenery bgls but thats it.

Beginning of conversion
Converting FSX terrain\scenery\autogen from 'E:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX' and outputing to 'E:\FSX-SE_Base'
Missing ConversionOptions file.  Content may not be converted properly.  <------ Missing File?

End of Conversion
Error: FSX conversion failed: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I redownloaded FlightToolkit_1_1_16.

Here's my cmd: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flight Tools\Flight Toolkit\ContentConverter.exe" fsx /i:"E:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX" /o:"E:\FSX-SE_Base"

I'm also using Win10 Pro

Ok, got it to work with version 1.1.2, going to try to rerun with ver. 1_1_16.

Ok, just keep in mind you should always deactivate or maybe even uninstall the old version of the FSX World addon in the Flight Toolkit Addon Manager before running the conversion again.

Thanks Majuh,

1.1.16 was successful.

Now off to do some flying!

1.1.16 was a private beta release and not public, so probably had some bugs.  I think 1.1.15 is the latest public version.

I used the 1.1.16 too to convert the scenery. The conversion went fine, as well as I can see (and that's not necessarily much).

Would I gain something if I used the earlier 1.1.15 version, does this version convert more 'missing' scenery objects perhaps?

@Stonelance

On flighttoolkit.com

1.1.1

1.1.2

1.1.6

Should I get 1.1.15?, also, is there a place to download the Stearman?

Thank you for all your hard work, I'm loving the Job Boards, just wish you would get jobs at all the airports. Is the jobs board hardcoded or does it have it's own xml or cfg?

Don't know are they hard coded or not, but you get jobs all over the world and not only Hawaii and Alaska, and that's great.

How many do you need?

Not getting jobs at smaller strips, I like the 100 dollar hamburger jobs from from grass or dirt strips.

I think with 1.1.15 forward there haven't been any significant changes to scenery conversion.  The focus was on aircraft conversion, although some of the changes to model conversion may affect scenery conversion indirectly.  I would use 1.1.15 over 1.1.6, although I can't remember what the differences were any more.

Thanks for the info!

Hi,

I converted the default FSX scenery and Flight is running very smoothly in the converted areas.  No surprises about missing objects as I didn't notice anything that wasn't reported in other posts.

I created a new folder (G:\FS\TempContent) and opened a CMD window in the "Flight Toolkit" folder and entered the following:

ContentConverter.exe fsx /i:"G:\FS\FSX" /o:"G:\FS\TempContent"

The conversion took approximately 45 minutes and I was surprised when I saw that "FSX World" was already installed in the Flight Addon Manager.  When I checked an area off the California coast I saw Flight water and brown smudges were the land should be.  Went back into the Addon manager and noticed the new scenery did not have the block checked. Checked the block went back to Flight and all was well.  I was surprised to see vector data for the added area displayed on the map.  I have the scenery set at Max and it seems that the trees far outnumbered the buildings.  Rather nice as the monopoly house effect is minimized.  In the areas I checked, I prefer the same land class areas in Flight as opposed to the areas in FSX.  Sadly, the landclasses of FSX do not accurately  what they should be in these areas.  And of course these areas are still wrong in Flight. I still have about 8GB in the "TempContent"  folder which I presume I can delete.  Please let me know if this is wrong.
