This has been happening for a while, it's mostly done by spam bot accounts that find your username on trading websites. If you don't do any trading, you have a very very small chance of ever getting a message by these bot accounts. All you have to do is not add as a friend anyone you don't know.

I don't use "Steam Chat" so I'm not too worried about it! :ph34r:
