Another radar gauge for VC & Window usage

Recommended Posts

I'm using P3D last v3.4 version as well without problem.

  • Check that you have only one declaration of the gauge in each aircraft VC or popup.
  • Check that you are not using the ASN XGauge at the same time

Which aircraft is it?

Ok, the problem comes when P3D starts, I have a CTD, by removing the "RolASNRadar.dll"  P3D starts with no problem at all,

Monney Bravo is the plane the same config I had on P3D v 2.5.

Just one declaration

Window06=RolASN weather Radar

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window06]
size_mm=200,300
position= 0
visible=0
ident=11555
Window_pos=0.05,0.55
zorder=4
gauge00=RolASNRadar!ShellRadGauge, 0,0,200,300, sweep|beam|icing
gauge02=alex!XGuage Transp Radar, 30,30,140,160

Same thing, I updated Microsoft VC++ 2013 runtime libraries x86, and P3D v 3.4 crashes on startup,removing RolASNRadar.dll from gauges, no problem  :angry:

Roland I removed "gauge02=alex!XGuage Transp Radar, 30,30,140,160" and the problem is when I load the window, I mean when I use the weather Gauge this is what happens every time

Are the two P3D versions installed on the same computer?

Did you run the ASN installer again for P3D v3.4?

So it's able to install properly the correct asconnect version

Yes, I have both P3D on same computer, with P3D V 2.5 I use Active Sky Next 2015 and with P3D v 3.4 I use ASN16, and both work great ,only on V 3.4 "RolASNRadar" won´t work

I'm not using the Bendix popup gauge, so I installed it in the J3 Cub with the following lines (as written in the manual):

Quote

[Window07]
size_mm=500,500
zorder=4
gauge00=RolasnRadar!ShellRadGauge, 0,0,,, sweep|beam|icing|nogps

And it's working fine in my P3D v3.4.22.19868

Hi Roland, I been trying to make the Weather Radar to work in my P3D V3.4 and i came with the idea there was something wrong on my textures, so I copied V 2.5 Clouds to V 3.4 and guess what , it is working now!

Roland, the strange thing is that before I copied the textures from V2.5 to V3.4 the gauge didn't work, better say P3D did not work, when I started it I use a plane with no gauge, then when I change to a plane with the GAUGE P3D it stops working and gives me an error  "Module name with error:    RolASNRadar.dll"

Roland,

Any thoughts about making a 64 bit version of the gauge?  Or are you waiting to see what Hifi does with AS for P3d V4?

Jay,

I would like to move the gauge to 64 bits of course,  but it will take a few steps before, like: Install the new P3D and its SDK.

But the bad thing is that I'm now unable to sign in with my MS account from Visual Studio neither from Internet Explorer. Therefore I cannot use it anymore. I know it's a problem on my system but until now I spend several hours to try to repair various component of my Windows without success...

Great news Roland, hope you can make it 64 bits, meanwhile the radar on the AVRO 100 of Qualitywings.

Add these two lines

[Vcockpit02]

gauge36=RolAsnRadar!oRadGauge, 442,482,395,327, sweep|beam|ice|starton
gauge37=QWings146!QW146_VC_WXR_Enable, 0,0,0,0
