Another radar gauge for VC & Window usage

Fabio,

So my understanding is false: I understood from your PM that you were using v4.1.

Then can someone tell me if the gauge is working with P3Dv4.1 and ASP4 build 6491?

Thanks

Roland

Hi,

I am sorry, I should have been much clearer, and certainly didn’t mean to mislead.

AS running with P3D V4 still propagates messages regarding available AS updates, so a natural inference is that the AS & ASCA updates are V4 & V4.1 compliant.

I have your WXR installed in very many aircraft, and I haven’t upgraded P3D because of the potentIal issue of losing the WXR.

I briefly browsed the AS forum but couldn’t see other “link” issues; did you create a post?

Fabio

OK, thanks, sounds like there’s an issue with the update.

Cargostrom has send me the good news this morning:

Hi Roland,

here is the hotfix ASP4 Build 6497 that works now with P3D V4.0.

http://nimbus.hifitechinc.com/publicdownloads/update101517/AS_P3Dv4_Update.exe

It also restores simconnect functionality and your radar works again.

Great news, thanks.

Be aware that an aircraft that loads this DLL in a default flight will crash P3Dv4.1. At least, this is what happens on my system.

I had set the default Bonanza, it was later modified with RolasnRadr gauge (the 64bit of course).

Apart from that small snag, it works very well with P3Dv4.1. Have successfully modified Mu2b, Bonanza, Milviz 310 and a few others.

Thank you for this wonderful DLL.

Cheers

Pierre

Nice integration, thanks for the feedback :)

I did not modify default P3D aircraft with the gauge, however if I load directly a flight with a A2A modified aircraft I don't have problem.

Hi,

does anybody use Roland's wx gauge to replace the Avidyne unit in the Carenado B200? It would be great if somebody could give me the correct numbers for the panel.cfg.

I figured out the below sub-optimal values, but I can only see the upper part of the weather radar. For some reason, if I try to make a smaller value for the y position, the clickspots of the gauge are gone.

[Vcockpit05]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$Panel_5

//gauge00=EX500_B200!EX500_config,    0,  0,   1,  1
//gauge01=EX500_B200!EX500_3D,        0,512, 513, 411
//gauge02=B200KA!ToggleCARG500,      64,512, 448, 64
gauge00=RolASNRadar!ORadGauge,  78, 670, 350, 251, sweep|beam|icing
gauge01=EFISB200!EFIS_3D,                       0,  0, 512,512
gauge02=GAUGEB200EFIS!Gauge_EFIS84_EHSI_3D,      512,  0, 512,512
gauge03=B200KA!ToggleEFIS,                      0,  0, 512, 512
gauge04=B200KA!ToggleAUTOPILOT,               512,  0, 512, 512
gauge05=GAUGEB200!Gauge_VSI_DIGITAL,          514, 513, 320,320

Cheers,

I tried with the Avidyne, but was not successfull. That gauge seems to interact with other gauges. I wasn't able to display the radar properly within the frame, it was too small.

So I tried with the GPS, the 2nd unit. And here's what I got:

I thought all (if not most) Carenado’s have had their P3D WXR restored?

Thanks, Pierre. If you replace the 2nd GTN530, how do you adjust COM2 and NAV2 frequencies?

I have FSTramp to do that (on my third monitor). And the beauty of it, I do the change on the keyboard, super easy and fast.

to Fabio: What do you mean WXR restored?. Presently there is only one radar software that you can add to an a/c in P3dv4.0 +. And that's the Roland's

  • 5 weeks later...

Just wanted to verify that this (store link below) is the product being referenced in all of the panel mods in this thread.

Most developers seem to have more than one version of things so wanted to make sure.  I have FSX-SE, and P3D v4.

https://www.fspilotshop.com/hifi-technologies-active-sky-2016-full-version-for-fsx-p-6247.html?osCsid=h99s4374les4ep65iou6em4o04

If this isn't it please post a link to the right item.  Sale going on this weekend.  Thanks in advance.
