  1. I understand that these are new voices that can be used instead of the ones that are shipped with MCE. Would be great to hear some samples, especially co-pilot interaction. Maybe it is possible to upload a clip on YouTube?
  2. I am in VR (Varjo Aero) and the new DLSS 4.5 with preset L nearly completely eliminates ghosting of the speed and altitude tape of an airliner PFD as compared to DLSS 4.0 with preset K. That's with NV driver 591.74, RTX4090, 13000K, and using DLSS in-game "BALANCED". I think it is a big step forward. DLSS has the advantage that it eliminates the shimmering seen with TAA and it adds important fps (in my case 10-15fps) to the game which is extremely important in the demanding VR mode. Drawback until 4.5 has been the ghosting seen in glass cockpits, which are now gone with DLSS 4.5 or at least can be easily tolerated (the N1/N2 indications still show some ghosting on the engine display).
  3. In the PMDG 737, the tyre sound of the nose wheel can only be heard if you take the corners with the aircraft too fast. Best is to stay <10 knots ground speed in corners and even less if the corner is 90°. Nevertheless, I cannot imagine that the noise from the nose wheel (if present) could be so loud in the cockpit. For sure that sound is annoying.
  4. The patch works fine with the latest release of PMDG‘s B737 for MSFS2024. VoiceScripts are recognized end executed correctly. Amazing service and support from the FS++ crew. Thank you!😊
  5. Unfortunately, the VoiceScrips of the Copilot no longer work with the new PMDG B738 in MSFS2024. I have re-installed MCE 3.1.4.5 Ultimate Edition AFTER the aircraft. The SDK entry in the 737_option.ini file is there and single commands work. However, no VoiceScripts are recognized for the aircraft using the TUI G-ATW livery provided by PMDG. It only sees the general ones in the "ALL" folder. One more thing: If a new VoiceScript is saved from the MCE GUI for the co-pilot, the vscr file will not be saved in the MyVoiceScripts\Copilot folder, but some hierarchys higher under \Documents\Multi Crew Experience\ and starting with the filename MyVoiceScripts. Something is confused here. Same behaviour also with the old 3.1.4.4 MCE patch. Any ideas? Greetings Chris
  6. It depends on the aircraft. Both the freeware version and the payware do not work with PMDGs 777. The plane is spinning around during pushback. The manual pushwork does work. But without pushback pre-planning, the tools do not offer much benefit.
  7. New MCE version is online and works with the latest release of 777 from PMDG for MSFS2024. A great compliment to the developers.
  8. At the moment, I use MSFS2020 for IFR / airliner flying and MS2024 for VFR/GA flying on VATSIM. As soon as MSFS2024 is more advanced I will use it exclusively. It is good to have both options available.
  9. I use PFPX and WX2PFPX for flight planning with airliners, and LittleNavmap for planning with general aviation aircrafts. For performance calcuations, I still use TOPCAT because it features many different aircrafts and is still remarkably accurate for calculating takeoff or landing performance. In fact, I just bought a new PC, and PFPX/TOPCAT will be re-installed. There will be no new version though as the developers stopped their work on these apps.
  10. This is what I do all the time if P3D is updated. I have customised autogen files that I backup and then I overwrite the ones in the autogen folder after the update. If you are not running out of VAS, 64bit is not needed, which is rarely the case. Since version 3, the problems with OOMs are solved for most people. So it is more a hype that is build up.
  11. Yes! http://www.avsim.com/topic/459116-global-ai-ship-traffic-fsx-and-p3d-news-and-support/
  12. Rob, I am a bit late to congratulate as well, but nevertheless Thank you for the tremendous work and time you have invested in preparing the guide.
  13. I have updated to the latest version 2678. Now, with this version, I have an annoying pop up window at EVERY sim start stating that my sims should run as admin (which they already). How can I switch it off?
  14. Maybe you can post screen shots from your P3D settings. Usually sharpness of runway textures is defined by the texture resolution in the sim. In addition, it appears that the textures your mentioned are mipmapped, which might be the reason why they look more blurred from the distance. Do you have the problem at every airport?
  15. As far as I now, the only "official way" is to use the popup window. I was also asking for short cut key commands, but it is not yet implemented.
  16. Issue is solved with the latest release of FSlabs Spotlights: http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/8165-fslspotlights-updated-to-resolve-dxgidll-crash/ Great work! Bug was identified and FSLabs has one more happy customer.
  17. I installed Spotlight today again and deactivated all other addons in the dll.xml and exe.xml. P3D crashes at startup with spotlight enabled. The error report refers to dxgi.dll. I use PTA shaders. Thus, unfortunately, it still does NOT work. At least not with the PTA profile I use.
  18. . Rich, if you don not mind, could you send me your PTA file to test whether it crashes in my setup. At least it is good to see that I am not alone with the crashes.
  19. I have disabled every addon in the dll.xml and exe.xml (apart from spotslight), but P3D still crashes with the error hinting to dxgi.dll: Sig[0].Name=Application Name Sig[0].Value=prepar3d.exe Sig[1].Name=Application Version Sig[1].Value=3.3.5.17625 Sig[2].Name=Application Timestamp Sig[2].Value=5758bb31 Sig[3].Name=Fault Module Name Sig[3].Value=dxgi.dll Sig[4].Name=Fault Module Version Sig[4].Value=6.2.9200.16420 Sig[5].Name=Fault Module Timestamp Sig[5].Value=505a96fd Sig[6].Name=Exception Offset Sig[6].Value=000039b4 Sig[7].Name=Exception Code Sig[7].Value=c0000005 Sig[8].Name=Exception Data Sig[8].Value=00000008
  20. Do you actually need FSL Spotlights in order to get the VC lighting you see in the promotion videos? Or is the lighting included in the Airbus purchase?
  21. Hi Rich, when I tried the demo in June, P3D crashed at startup. I did everything as described in the manual. I opened a thread over at the FSL forum, but unfortunately the problem could not be solved: http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/6977-spotlights-crashes-at-startup-p3d-v335/ It is interesting though to read that you got it working including PTA. I will try again but I have little hope that something has changed. If P3D crashes already at startup, there is little I can do I guess...
  22. It does NOT work if you use any Shaders Mods such as PTA. I was unfortunately not succesful to use modified Shaders with Spotlights.
  23. Does this mean that you also get the FSX version for free if you buy the P3D version? Because if you buy the FSX version first and then the P3D upgrade price, you do get both the FSX and P3D version for the same price.
  24. Yes, the other models come each as extension pack. And for each you have to pay again. And for the same bits you pay again for P3D.
