Pushback Tool Bar Paid Version

Featured Replies

Does any know if the paid version of the pushback toolbar app have the same issues as the free version in that it starts the pushback back and starts swinging the plane around? Is there a fix?

Chris Chiozza

Yes it does. To my knowledge STILL no fix.

That's why I have to stay with GSX, It's the only push back utility that pushes back on the taxiway line.

Can I ask what the issue is?  I just used the free tool the other night for the first time ever, and it seemed to work great in 24.  I pushed back from D4 at SFO into the alley using the pre-planned mode and it dropped me right on the middle line.  What is the bug to look out for?

Is this the one Aerosoft sell? Not had that issue in 20 or 24. Sometimes it says “tug not available” but the push still goes as planned.

It depends on the aircraft. Both the freeware version and the payware do not work with PMDGs 777. The plane is spinning around during pushback. The manual pushwork does work. But without pushback pre-planning, the tools do not offer much benefit.

Chris

Been using the free version for years. I use it in manual mode and steer with the rudder pedals. Easy as can be.

I've never had any problems with the free tool in 2024, it pushes to wherever you set the destination to on the map. Just make sure the parking brake is off or it'll keep lifting the nose up.

Pushback Helper also seems to work fine in 2024 and seems less finicky with regard to the parking brake setting than is the toolbar tool, at least for the PMDG 777.

Not the only one, Aerosoft toolbar pushback also pushes back on the taxiway line

Mine works, but sometimes it does "curve" a lot. It doesn't always follow the path in a straight line, looks like the driver is drunk or something.

I’ve seen it get “snappy” with the tug whipping around the nose gear 90-120 degrees for no reason. It looks more severe than it really is unless there’s another issue I haven’t seen. Doesn’t happen with GSX, however, GSX isn’t exactly 100% either
