  1. That's strange. The upper beacon is on the SN model. It looks red in P3Dv4 and v5 as well as in ModelCreaterX. Not sure why you see a yellow one. It is an attached effect named "fx-beacon" so you can't edit it in the [lights] section of aircraft.cfg file. You might try adding a red beacon in the [lights] section to see it is can overpower the yellow one.
  2. What happened to the Wilco Publishing / FeelThere forum section?
  3. For those who don't have the aircraft it is usually on sale at PC Aviator. With an extra 10% off on Tuesdays and some weekends.
  4. I've been seeing a similar (I think) throttle issue lately with several aircraft with my Logitech 3D Pro stick in P3D. Using the built in throttle doesn't always go to full throttle or all the way down to idle. When I feel this is happening I just hit the F1 or F4 key to push it that extra bit in the right direction. Wish it wasn't happening that way and calibration doesn't seem to fix it. But it does work for me.
  5. Several new repaints went up this week in the avsim library for this one. I haven't tried them on the v2 (P3Dv4) update. Also a set of darker cockpit textures.
  6. Appreciate the offer to have a look Ernie. Stuck at home since my work puts me in too close contact with people. Had major computer issue last month so I'm having to reinstall everything. Just put the Islander back in. Read this forum thread again in the process. Saw the remark about removing F1 provided flight plans from "\Flight One Software\BN-2 Islander\FlightPlans". Didn't do that but put one I created in P3Dv4.5 in there and it was found and loaded in the KLN90 unit. No issues with the text as before. So maybe problem solved but having to move the flight plan file around takes away the ability to create one on the fly. Just have to brush up on using the KLN90 unit now to see if it really working.
  7. Can you elaborate on that? After installing into the root of P3D v4.5 I got the gauge to turn on and I can cycle through the pages. But when I load a flight plan created in P3D it displays garbage. The terminus font is displaying so that isn't the issue. Was going to ask where is the flight plans folder you are referring to but I see that up above. I wonder if the flight plan format has changed in P3D vs. FSX (when the gauge was originally created) and the gauge can't read it?
  8. Installing from the CD directly into P3Dv4.5 worked fine for the base aircraft. Swapping out the new KLN90 file from Ernie Alston brought the GPS back to life. (page 7 of this thread) I then made the sound file swap and hex edit of the MDLs as described in the Simforums. And lastly changed the panel color of a couple versions and added some color to the visors. (Shameless plug) No crashes or other issues -- yet. Very happy camper again.
  9. I install things to the "\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons" folder. I'm wondering if that is the issue for me. It does attempt to run with no crashing but I'm getting an error message on the KLN90 screen telling me to "Check Install Settings". Might be some hard coding in there? ... Bit the bullet and installed it into the root of P3Dv4.5 and it all works now. Not sure why but it's all good. Now to work on the sound. Thanks again Ernie!
  10. If anyone is on the fence about this aircraft, Flight1 is having a 30% off sale on the BN-2 Islander this weekend. http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?vid=flt1sf&pid=F1E-BN2 And here's a fun review: Okay, back to sorting out that gauge install...
  11. Ernie, I am smiling from ear to ear right now. I've spent way too much time over the past couple years trying to make various other KLN90's work in there in P3Dv4. I am over the moon right now. I have to deal with "ERR: Install Error: !!" message but that's probably from messing around with things over the years. I'll scrape it off and start from scratch, Thank you so much for making this available!
  12. Somebody asked about a damage mod for the BN-2. This mod adds wear and damage for most systems. For FSX and P3Dv4. http://library.flight1.net/?p=11388 ... Sorry, wrong thread but correct aircraft.
  13. Google (and Youtube) is your friend. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=iris+c-27+ Hope this helps.
  14. According to this thread below, most if not all issues were fixed by a v1.1 and v1.2 release.
  15. V1vrV2 doesn't seem to be able to get messages according to the PM function here. I'd like to get his Caravan EX (plus "other goodies") mod. Can anyone help me? I just picked it up inn the current sale.
  16. Yes, that path is perfect. The DLC folder is where items purchased from the Steam store are installed into. Everything else goes into the same folders (or the root of FSX in this case) as things did with the Microsoft boxed FSX,
  17. I think he's referring to the G1000 equipped DA42. The DA40 from Alabeo has analog (steam) gauges. You could always have the GTN650 or GTN750 as a popup. I've seen information on the GTN750 into the DA42 somewhere.
  18. I bought their Roatan Island (MHRO) a couple years ago and it had some issues in FSX but the update to P3Dv4 fixed everything and it is a real gem now. I also have their San Diego (KSAN) -- my local airport -- in both FSX and P3D v2 (free upgrade) and it is really well done. Can't speak for any other of their products except to say that at this pricing you should feel you got your monies worth.
  19. 40% Off on all products except LEMD through December 2nd. https://latinvfr.com/
  20. Thanks. I do have the Flight1 GTN 750/650 package.
  21. I have a quick question on an add-on they have for a few aircraft -- the Navigraph Extension Packs. Are they worth it? I notice they seem to indicate the data is 2013 vintage. Are they a significant improvement over whatever is included in the initial aircraft package (using default FSX data perhaps?). There are cheap for a week but that isn't always a good enough reason to buy.
  22. Flysimware has a Cessna 414A in the works. Granted not Carenado/Alabeo but their work has continued to improve with each new release. You can follow progress on their facebook page. Hope this helps.
  23. I just got this aircraft. Looking forward to flying her in a couple of your repaints. Thanks for making them available.
  24. I buy all my Carendo titles at discount during the annual sale. That way I'm not as disappointed although I research them quite a bit before purchasing so I know what I'm getting. And there are usually plenty of mods and repaints posted here to keep them interesting. Working for a couple developers myself I know it is very difficult to even entertain the notion of a refund let alone a resale of something intangible like downloaded software. But best of luck in your own case.
  25. The Commander 114 is now a default aircraft in Prepar3D as of v4.4. Probably just a pipe dream but perhaps they addressed the issue before it was accepted by Lockheed Martin?
