May 23, 200521 yr Hello, every time I continue a flight, saved using autosave, I get a gauge error.Either zvib1.gau or zeicas1.gau.( Lonny Payne's panel)It doesnt happen if i start the flight from scratch. The details of the zvib1.gau are as follows:AppName: fs9.exe Appver: 9.1.0.40901 ModName: zvib1.gaumodver: 1.0.0.0 Offset: 00001333. Any idea ?P.s= I thought some autosaved files were corrupt so I moved them out of the folder and put them back one by one.No go.ThanksB
May 23, 200521 yr Far as I know you cannot load any saved flight with Lonny's panel active - I always cross my fingers when taking off with this great panel, because I know if the sim crashes I'll have to start over. regards,MarkXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256 Regards, Mark
May 23, 200521 yr Yes I have had the same problem - I cannot save a flight with that panel. Unfortuate as it is I am now using another panel because it was getting a bit frustrating watching FS9 crash all the time. I hate whining about freeware but this time it was just CTDing my FS9 all the time :(Its a pity because Lonnys panel is great...hes even got the selected-altitude arcs (dont know the technical name for it lol) on the lower MFD...something you usually only see on payware panels.I do hope a fix appears because when it does Im jumping back in!:)
May 23, 200521 yr Guys,In the documentation it says that if you save the flight with all the subpanels opened, you should have no problem when you restore the flight. May 23, 200521 yr I too had this problem. The panel is such a well-designed panel both visually and functionally that I was frustrated I could not use it.Thanks Dave, I'll try your suggestion to see if it works - I did not notice this point in the manual but I only skimmed the manual so must have missed it.John I love flying my "iddy biddy Jumbo" CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, socket 775/3GHz/1333MHz bus/6MB cache MOBO: Asus P5E3 Deluxe WiFi-AP@n/Intel X38 chipset RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX 1333MHz. rated 7-7-7-20, matched pair (2 x 2GB) GRAPHICS: Sapphire Radeon 5770HD 1GB (w/ fan) MONITOR: Samsung 24", 2494HM LCD wide-screen 1920x1080 SOUND: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS HARD DRIVES: 1xWestern Digital WD1600JD SATA 160GB (primary/Windows XP and system boot drive) 1xWestern Digital WD3200AAJS SATA2 320GB (secondary/Flight Simulator 2004 running off WinXP Pro 32-bit, games video editing drive) 1xWestern Digital 500GB Black series SATA2 (Windows 7 64-bit: FSX is running off Win7; Windows XP Professional 32-bit) CASE: Antec Sonata III 500W OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for FSX; Windows XP Pro 32-bit for other things.
May 23, 200521 yr ------------------------------------------------------------------------In the documentation it says that if you save the flight with all the subpanels opened, you should have no problem when you restore the flight.------------------------------------------------------------------------Yea I tried that too but was still getting CTDs. I used to pause the flight, switch to another plane, then save the flight. On reload Id work in reverse...ending in the reloading of the 757...but then this got tiring!I will however download the panel again and do a fresh install! But if its working fine for other Avsimmers...then I must be messing up somewhere!:)
May 24, 200521 yr 'B'I think that Lonny posted a fix for this as it used to happen with FS2k2 as well. This is the dodge, before saving your flight, bring all the panels down as they are when you first enter the Lony Payne cockpit. Now, save the flight and you will find that the 'save' will be ok!Please post the outcome because I know now what your going to say (Wink).----------------------------------------------Right, should I do another quick lap of the old Nurburgring circuit with 'GT4' or go flying?Dave T. May 24, 200521 yr Author >>Please post the outcome because I know now what your going to>say (Wink).>------Lol, I was just waiting for some more replies :-).Umm, I know about this fix _now_ that somebody else mentioned it.but.I wanted a functional panel without me going thru all that hassle of opening up all those subpanels.I use autosave and would like to be able to continue a flight even if fs2004 crashes and I have no time to open them all up.:-)))---------------------------------------->>Right, should I do another quick lap of the old Nurburgring>circuit with 'GT4' or go flying?>>Dave T.
