May 25, 200521 yr Author I like to think of FS9 as a simulator. Being a real pilot, the simulator allows me to practice manuvers, approaches with some resemblance to realism. It becomes a game, when I venture outside reality and goof off. Just my opinion on that.As far as things not working, it is hard to exactly say how it is. When I am flying any plane, I make sure that I only have enough fuel to get me to my destination, plus a couple of go arounds. I don't like landing to heavy because I think FS9 does a great job or simulating the aircraft weight. If have a hard landing in a heavy plane, things are going to break. Plus you want to make sure that you start out the flight with proper weight and balance. Also as far as the avionics, as long as everything is installed properly, I would assume things to work just fine. Taking into consideration that you are doing things in the right sequence. When I am flying an ILS with the autopilot, I do not engage the approach or localizer button until I see the needle starting to move. If you press it too late, the aircraft will bank and over correct all the way to the ground. To early and it seems to not react properly. Just my thought on that. It is all about timing, finess, and practice. :DGood luck.Kev
