Howard 500!!!!

Featured Replies

Was in NYC for a business meeting today and flew home to Atlanta this afternoon from KLGA. Im sitting in my window seat and look out the window and there sits on the tarmac, the Howard 500 that Milton Shupe modelled so well!!! The green and Gold duck livery with the checkerboard radial cowlings. Awesome. A very cool surprise!Eric

That's completely cool. Recently, Flying magazine ran an "I learned about flying from that" story about 7CM, the C310 sold through Flight 1.

Pretty fun when theres a direct connection between reality and these toys we play with!! Particularly when La Guardia airport is not one of the places I would've expected to see this private aircraft. Eric

Eric, I had an even more bizare reality vs FS experiance. My brother in law bought a half share of a 1969 Bonanza V35a in late 2003. The other owner bought it in full in 1999. Since I use FS98 on my laptop, I was looking for both Bonanza V tail and Michigan scenery for FS98. I downloaded and installed the later files for both. It turned out that Captain Slug had modeled the EXACT PLANE for FS98 The plane is N221AB Beechcraft Bonanza V35http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/captainslug/EX.html It was up for sale in early 1999 when he modeled it. Captain Slug said all his FS planes had paint and registration of a real aircraft. I was the third person to e-mail him that either they, or someone close to them, now owned a plane he modeled. Cheers, Bruce
