May 26, 200521 yr Per the link, the update says that not much was updated since the Archer worked well in FS2004 already...http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/Previews/Archer/0_FS9.htmBut... How can the flightmodel not have been tweaked to account for changes done between FS2002 and FS2004?I thought the FM programming when I flew the plane in FS2002 days was at least passable; I'm wondering if the FM is still "good" and in close proximity to the Archer in terms of performance/characteristics now that the updates been made for 2004...Anyone?
May 27, 200521 yr If you wait, they are coming out with a new 3 pack of aircraft and they (Lou) hinted at a new Archer in it. The DF archer was my first payware arcraft and although I have a soft spot for it, visually it doesn't live up to todays standards IMO.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
May 27, 200521 yr The DF Archer is very good, although it's getting a little dated. If you like the PA-28 series, then another one you might like is the Australian Simulation Warrior. You get a Warrior II and III, and the panel and VC detail is quite good. A free update to 2.0 is due any day.http://www.aussim.com.au/piper/default.htm
May 27, 200521 yr Author The virtual cockpit is not up to today's standards, but everything else is absolutely great!! It flies like a dream and the 2d cockpit is still one the best ones ever done IMHO.One of my all-time favorite aircraft!Get the N6286 repaint for "best looks".. Bert
