Running SimConnect fixed it for me to.

 

One other problem is that I don't seem to be seeing any cockpit tooltips. They are turned on in Settings > General Information Text

 

When hovering over a button, after a second, the hand cursor turns in to the standard pointer, with no tooltip being displayed. Any ideas?

I had similar problem. I think it is in the order you activate it. I started with 777-300. Same issue all the time. After some time, when the few brain cells start to work, I loaded 777-200 and activated it. It worked.

 

 

Uninstalled everything from PMDG including Operations Center by hand.

 

Does this mean that you used the Uninstall Programs and Features Option from the Control Panel or you just used the Delete button?

 

The same problem here with P3D v2.5

Please be sure to use the uninstall feature. Pressing delete can make things very, very difficult to fix later.

Here is my experience with this activation issue.

The reinstall option only did not work for me, as there is no uninstaller for the PMDG Operations Center.

 

What worked for me was;

 

1) uninstall PMDG 777, leave the Operation Center as it is.

2) with a RegCleaner, clean all the old FSX entries, including the FlexNet Licensing Service entries! (as PMDG used this with FSX)

3) reboot

4) install/run SimConnect

5) install PMDG777, start P3D and select the PMDG777

 

6) there should be an Activation Window now..
