I just a bit confused regarding Preflight events option. It is said "Optional". As far as I know when you push PF Events button it triggers time countdown and FO becomes active. What if I do not use PF event? How do I initiate time countdown and what will be the starting point for me and FO if I use short or long turn state? What will be the FO next step?

If you don't run PF events, the FS2Crew "Pre-Flight" events section will not run.

 

You can't initiate the time countdown unless you want to specifically run the Pre Flight events.

 

You don't need to run the PF events.  It's optional as you stated.  You can pick up from anywhere in FS2Crew.

 

You could even run the Pre Flight checklist without running the PF events.

 

Short or Long Panel state makes no difference.

OK. If I don't run Preflight Events then I have to do all FO's flow till Before Start Procedure. So what is the point then to skip PF Events if I have to do FO's job?

Correct, if you don't run the PF events, you have to do the FO's flow prior to Before Start.

 

 

Some people start with the Engines running or what to do everything themselves.  That's why there's an option to skip Pre Flight events.
