February 24, 201511 yr Hi All: I recently bought a new computer and it comes with Windows 8.1. I would very much like to run the Level D 767 and the CLS 767/777 but am hesitant to buy these as I am not sure they will work in Windows 8.1. Can anybody please advise me of their compatibility and maybe give me some other large Boeing jets that will work in Windows 8. I run the QW 757 and the PMDG with no problems. Thanks you so much. February 24, 201511 yr Hi Ed, I tried to install the Level D 767 on Windows 8, but it didn't work. It was quite some time ago, but from what I can remember, the gauges didn't show up and essentially, with that, the plane was unusable. I don't know if anyone else could get it to work, if they could, I'd love to know how, but I have my doubts about it being Windows 8/8.1 compatible. I don't know about the CLS planes. I never tried to install the Level D 767 on Windows 8.1. R. Francois Myburgh "I have made a ceaseless effort not to ridicule, not to bewail, not to scorn human actions, but to understand them." February 25, 201511 yr All I can tell you is I have no aircraft that won't run nicely on 8.1. I have a slew of Carenado and lots of free add-on aircraft. Even the Bull Stearman is very smooth at 60 fps. I have an ordinary BestBuy desktop Dell.
February 26, 201511 yr Hi Ed. From what I recall the Level D is sold through Flight1. After checking their website for system requirements, their forums and the Avsim 'unofficial' forum and you decide to purchase ... if it does not work under 8/8.1 you can apply (within 30 days of purchase) to Flight1 for a refund.
