  1. Hi All: I recently bought a new computer and it comes with Windows 8.1. I would very much like to run the Level D 767 and the CLS 767/777 but am hesitant to buy these as I am not sure they will work in Windows 8.1. Can anybody please advise me of their compatibility and maybe give me some other large Boeing jets that will work in Windows 8. I run the QW 757 and the PMDG with no problems. Thanks you so much. Ed Ryan
  2. Hi All: Running FS9 with Win8 and no real problems but now some of my default airports will not show up when selected and I get the FS problem and shutting down message. Any ideas? KORD, KSFO, KBOS, KDEN not showing up. Thanks for the help Ed Ryan
  3. PMDG 737 and 747 FS2004 work fine in Windows 8. Level D does not work in Windows 8 much to my disappointed. Have repeatedly tried FSX and cannot stand it even on my high end computer. Am staying FS9 and when addons run out I guess they have just lost my business. Hope this helps. So does QW 757 work with Win8 or not guys? Ed Ryan
  4. Anyone get Level D 767 for FS2004 to work in Windows 8? I get the aircraft exterior fine but only get the framework and no gauges for the panels. Thanks Ed Ryan
  5. Still getting the above lucon.ttf message on mine from the CD. Can someone PLEASE tell me what to do to load this? Thanks Ed Ryan
  6. I tried FSX again for the fifth time today...no go in Win8 even as administrator. What crap FSX is...Love my FS2004. Ed
  7. Thanks all. Have done a clean re-install of FS( outside of normal Win 8 path and all seems to be working so far with add-ons except the PMDG 737 which is not allowing the install. PMDG 744 works just fine. Ed Ryan
  8. I have done a clean re-install of FS9 in Windows 8 and runs fine. Have done all of the above but when I add in PAI Installer to add flights and aircraft, I lose about 13 default airports including KDFW, KSFO, KORD, KLAX, KDEN, EDDf, EBBR, EGGL, etc. Theu will not load and when selected FS9 crashes. Any ideas?
  9. How do I run as administrator? Steps please. Thanks! Ed Also where do I need to place the FS2004 files? Thks Ed
  10. Having the same problem with PMDG 737 for FS9 and Win8. What exactly did you do to get it loaded? Thanks! Ed Ryan
  11. I cannot seem to get the FS2004 PMDG 747-400 installed so it works in Windows 8. How do I install it correctly and please give me step by step as I am not a whiz at this. Thanks so much! Ed Ryan
  12. Have problem getting FS( PMDG 747-4 to load from CD into the FS9 title in the C: directory under Windows 8. It keeps loading to the Program Files (x86) files. Any ideas. The PMDG 737's loaded to the C:FS9 directory just fine. Thanks! Ed Ryan
  13. Hi All: Anyone know of a way to improve the POSKY lights on their aircraft? They are way too loud and a box is around the wingtip lights. Terrible! Thanks! Ed Ryan
  14. When I reload the Level D 767 into my new computer I get a instrument panel with no gauges...where does the 767 gauges file go please? Any ideas? Thanks Ed Ryan
  15. Hi All: I had a massive crash of my computer and now have a ASUS with Windows 8. I have re-loaded Level D and the aircraft are fine but the cockpits have no gauges showing in 2D or VC. Can someone tell me were to place the gauges folder in FS2004 for LevelD? Thanks so much.. Ed Ryan
