March 11, 201511 yr Can someone help out with the proper technique on how to prep for installing 2.5. I currently have 2.4 installed with a few add-ons. Do I delete this, keep the add-ons, wipe everything...etc.? I don't know. Is there an installation guide? How does one keep the add-ons without re-installing? These are things I need to know. Thank you. Gus Lane
March 13, 201511 yr Generally what I do is uninstall what ever I installed into the old version then uninstall P3D itself and delete it from the HDD. I leave the stuff it puts in the Documents dir alone then I reinstall everything again that's all i do works well for me though it is time consuming.

With 2.5 you need to start fresh due to the folder structure change from all the older versions and that being said load the patches also otherwise you would still be in the same boat with your addons also this time you are more in need of updated official addon installs because of the folder structure change it can get real dicey installing them now without official installs Rich Sennett
