June 14, 200520 yr Hi,Can someone please guide me through a manual install of the update panel. I can't seem to make it show up. Also, can the gauges be placed in the new panel folders, or do they have to go into the main Gauge folder. Main update went fine, feather now works as it should. Thanks.Bob... in sunny Florida
June 15, 200520 yr Author Hi. You have to move the Panel.VC and Panel.NOVC folders into the main P-3C folder. Then you have to move the aircraft.cfg into the main P-3C folder. Put all of the gauges into the main FS2004 Gauges folder. There are three jpg files that show the panel layout for reference. Save them in the main folder if you want to view them later. If you have any problems e-mail me and I'll try to help you more. Regards, Bob.
June 15, 200520 yr Bob, I posted the same question a little earlier today (6/14 @ 10:40 am)with no response. Glad to see your answer to Bob 1. All works now. I have a question though, how does one open the bomb doors? Thanks.

June 15, 200520 yr Hi,Thanks for the help. Too bad the gauges have to go into the main folder, makes it more neet when you put them with the panel folder. I can't open the pictures, have no idea why, I'm using win xp, and every other picture I click on opens. Another mystery I guess. One of the panels has a bomb bay door swith, along with some other ones, like pitot. However, the bomb bay door opens but won't close. In fear of hurting some feelings, I won't say anything about the update panel. I think I've got the prop feathering figured out, but not positive. Tried a landing with one and four at attention, do not let the airspeed get below 150 kias, with full flap, cuz you ain't going to make it. Try it, vveeerryy interesting. Thanks again.Bob.... in HOT, sunny Florida

You can put them into the individual panel folders, however that means you have two copies of all the gauges. One in tne pane.VC and one in the panel.NOVC folder. This is how I have done my installation and it works just fine. I started placing all the "included gauges" of new aircraft that I download into their repective panel folders when my main gauge folder reached 3000+ gauges. Also, I have 4 FS9 installations on my system and it's easier to move aircraft from one installtion to another by simply dragging and dropping the aircraft folder. The required gauges automatically come along :) Paul
June 15, 200520 yr fyi, there is a new update at the fs kbt site :)http://flightinfo.ens.ne.jp/FS_KBT/tataJP.
June 15, 200520 yr Author Thanks JP. I sure wish they would make these changes in a zip file rather than an exe. I have made extensive changes to the panels, and revisions, addon aircraft textures, etc. I have made already and spent about five hours figuring out what was changed in the last revision. It is really hard to understand the text description of what was changed. Lots of others have had problems trying to figure out how to make the panel revisions. I really do love the plane and all the effort that KBT put into this effort. My hat's off to them. Regards, Bob.
June 16, 200520 yr >Thanks JP. I sure wish they would make these changes in a zip>file rather than an exe. I have made extensive changes to the>panels, and revisions, addon aircraft textures, etc.-SNIP- Most .exe install programs allow you to select the location to install to. This one does and I installed to a TEMP directory. That way I can see what files are changed, etc before I choose ( or not ) to move the new files into the original aircraft folder. This particular update doesn't touch the original panel folder but adds two new ones. Also, as I recall, the aircraft.cfg is expanded upon by adding the new model/panel variations onto the original structure. In your case, as is often the same with me, you need to rename your "customized" aircraft.cfg and then use it as as basis for importing the changes. This would be the case whether the update was supplied in ZIP or EXE form. Paul
June 16, 200520 yr Author Thanks for the tip Paul. I did not realize that it could be sent to a temp folder. I'll look at it again then. Regards, Bob.
June 16, 200520 yr Author There is a missing gauge (L-727pbrake.gau) which is the parking brake switch or light in one of the panels. It's shown in the jpeg. Does anyone know how to close the bomb bay doors? The switch on the Radio Stack Panel opens it but does not close it. Regards, Bob.
