Affinity Mask with HT I7 4790k

....I all of a sudden realized that I am in the "Affinity mask with HT I7–4790K topic area.... Sorrrrryyyyyy.

Well, now I have an excuse... I was afraid that the above values I was seeing on my iPad as it watches, and controls my P3d PC via Splashtop, that the performance that I was seeing was just that...values and statistics.

So I said Chas, let's see the proof of the pudding...sooooo I got up from the recumbent comfort of lounging with my iPad and got into the cockpit and flew from KSFO to Baha Cali then flew back north. The water...LOOKED CINEMATIC....a unique experience in my simming career.

Going feet dry, and welllll, I almost wet myself. I started observing scenery density that dumbfounded me....I crossed LAX's Airspace... No stutter...no blur...just crisp, clean, building after CITY scape, after golf course, after....well, stuff I'd never seen before. I shot three T&Gs at KBUR, with a smoothness I'd never experienced...ever!

In my 30+ years of simming, I have never had the kind of flying machine that performed like the PC I could never afford…

I have never, ever, never seen this kind of performance out of my hardware… I was astounded! I raised so many sliders to the right... that I knew....I KNEW .. had previously brought P3d or FSX or FS9 to it's knees...What the hey huh?... The Process Lasso config gui said I was yet to max-out my rig...I had neither pinned my CPU nor hit more than 60% of my GPU... and I didn't see any blur...

I did not see any stuttering,

I did not see anything but glorious,high-res, Orbx Southern California scenery with astounding water...and traffic abounding ...both airliners, ga, and airport ground vehicles...35% ground traffic and >30% water traffic.... It was smoooothhh....it was freekin' gorgeous!

I've never felt that kind of responsiveness In my v2 Lancair following the dual GTN 750s, in my life!

I am almost afraid to shut down for fear that I am dreaming...that when I get back in the saddle tomorrow After I awaken, I will see the same old ho-hum scenery and performance, sliders to the left of middle... that I'd experienced before Process Lasso ...

As I wipe the tears away with a great big old you-know-what-eating grin on my face, all I got to say is thank You, Process Lasso; at least you let me soar the dream tonight.

... performance-wise, eye-candy wise, HAPPY-HAPPY-wise, I realize I DON'T belong in the "Affinity..4790K" topic area...not tonite at least.

I belong in the I7-6600/dual-SLI GTX 980 topic area!

...so forgive me while I go look for a ritzier place to cut and paste this post!!!!

But, who knows....maybe I was sleep-flying....tomorrow will tell.

Cheers,

Chas
