LNAV On Decent Procedure

Featured Replies

After passing TOD and I reset the ALT to the next flight level in the decent works fine. After reaching the next flight level and maintained, What is the procedure to lower to the next flight level in the flight plan? If I reset the ALT to the next lower flight level nothing seems to happen. I have to engage flight level change and then go back to LNAV. Any help would be appreciated. Chris

Hi Chris,

You would have to press the Altitude Selector Knob. This is known as altitude intervene, and you need to do this once VNAV ALT kicks in and you remain at an altitude.

Please have a look at the two tutorials. They'll probably teach you a great deal about operating the aircraft. This is a study sim, so it's going to take a little work to learn how to fly it.
