March 26, 201511 yr There are serious problems causing ctd with addon manager. Many addons got clobbered and could not be restored until addon manager was uninstalled. I understand that some of the problems were due to windows 8.1 updates, but it seems that fixing this is a tedious process. Has anyone come up with a step by step procedure to remedy this? March 26, 201511 yr This is a well-known and documented problem and fixed by FSDT - http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,10489.0.html for everyone there. There is no other fix than what is documented on the FSDT website. The product manuals also provide detailed instructions for proper installation. I think the most common problem is installing a product without admin rights, with the UAC turned on, and with an anti-virus program running in the background. Anti-virus programs especially do not like the Addon Manager and sometimes has false positives that a file in the Addon Manager is a virus. Installing the latest standalone version is the best solution for fixing any issues with the Addon Manager. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
