Can I run PMDG on FSX:SE on Windows 8.1?

Featured Replies

Here are my stats:

AMD A10-6700 APU

3.70 GHz

6.00 GB RAM

64 bit operating system, x64-based processor

If not what would be the main reasons?

Win 8 is not officially supported by us. There are numerous configuration guides to help you get it all set up, though.

What about my PC stats? How well can I run PMDG on my computer? Will frame rates be too low?

For me FSX:SE works perfectly ( 0 OOMs btw) But terrain.dll crashes can happen if Settings are too high. Yes I use Win 8 (8.1 actually)

I just downloaded FSX:SE after a couple of months on X-Plane. Before that I had FSX box edition and that just broke on me. Steam edition so far is doing amazing for me with no crashes at all and very good performance. Better than I expected tbh. Do you use PMDG on Windows 8.1?

As is already stated, it's not a supported platform but I'm running FSX:SE with NGX+777 on Win8.1x64 without any issues.

I run Windows 8.1 and use every PMDG product except the 777 without any issues.
