easy sdk question

Is it possible to have fsx on a non standard drive and the sdk on drive C: ( standard ). Will the relative file location work in the xml.dll or will they have to explicit with drive routing

Thank you in advance

Peter

What do you use in the SDK? The toolbox? FSX does not need the SDK or toolbox unless you are going to develop something.

To answer your question though, you should move it to another HDD, run FSX and see what happens. See if the toolbox and stuff are available in the menu. If not, then you cannot move it. But again, it is not necessary for any operations within FSX.

You can install the SDK wherever you want.

You should not install it in the Program Files folders if you can.

Make sure the SDK version matches the sim version you are using, if you are running FSX/Acceleration you have to update the SDK to the Acceleration version.

After you install the SDK, go to the SDK folder and you will find ConfigSDK.exe, run it.

If the Tools don't show up on the Menu Bar in FSX you will have to edit the dll.xml. Not a big deal you just have to enter the correct path to the tools.
