April 1, 201511 yr Hi, I know this sounds like an "interesting" idea - has someone tried to combine,i.e. install the Just Flight expansion packs for their Constellation into P3Dv2? Thank you and Best Regards Frank Frank Hoehn I7-6700K, Asus Z170-A, 32GB DDR4, GeForce GTX 1070, Samsung 850 Evo 500GB, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB (P3D), WD Blue 4TB, Win10 Pro 1803, P3Dv4.4
April 2, 201511 yr Yes have tried, and it doesn't work. P3D2 uses a different naming convention than twhat the installer is looking for, and will determine that the Just Flight Constellation Professional is not installed. April 2, 201511 yr Author What a pity - I was thinking about getting the extensions in the Easter sales. Maybe I need to purchase the whole lot. Thanks a lot for your reply, this was very helpful! April 3, 201511 yr It is possible if you have the JustFlight base and expansion packs for FSX just use the Estonian migration tool, but this doesn't work with the standard Constellation package delivered with P3D. April 3, 201511 yr Author Thank you Ruud, I am hesitant about getting it. I went back to FSX just to compare it with the freeware Constellation from Manfred Jahn. His version is much more sophisticated regarding flight planning and fuel management. I am a bit disappointed with the bare minimums that JF have implemented into their version. A pity that the VC of Jahn's Constellation is not working in P3D being an FS9 model. April 3, 201511 yr Hi Frank, I totally agree with you the JustFlight is a nice product but there are some flaws with it, would it be great if this beautiful airplane would be made by one of the great developers still wishing that this will happen one day. At the moment I am doing a round the world trip with the Connie and I tried all the alternative versions there are including the FS9 model from Manfred but the I got so used to a working VC that the only version at this moment is the JustFlight version. April 4, 201511 yr Author Yes, you are right. The immersion into the sim with a working VC is without comparison Maybe somebody will hear our plea. April 8, 201511 yr In addition to the Expansion Pack, there are two Service Packs for the JustFlight Constellation. These packs correct a number of issues such as incorrect panel gauge indications (e.g., Fuel Flow, CHT, Airspeed, Suction Indicator); misspelling ("CARBURETTER" AIR HEAT); some simulations that were not working properly (e.g., engine startup smoke and exhaust flames); misc other issues (The superchargers knobs were painted red - now black). You won't be able to apply these service packs to the P3D2 Constellation either. However, you don't need to. Evidently the service packs were applied to the P3D2 version, as I have checked most of these and they are fixed on the P3D2 Constellation. While I agree that the system functionality and depth are not PMDG quality, the sound and visual quality is very good, and it is a fun airplane to fly. Starting the four engines on the Flight Engineer's panel is fairly well simulated. April 10, 201511 yr I just brought the expansion models and their associated files over from FSX into P3D and they are fine as the basic 049 model is already there. They work quite well. I use a freeware sound package specifically for the Connie's. Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
