How did he do this to the Gust lock?

Featured Replies

If I am not mistaken the gustlock located on a panel on the co-pilots side just below the middle of the instrument panel  on the right side of the throttle console is supposed to not be implemented,  but there is a guy out there called swedflight that has a moving gustlock that works,  I saw it work in his video,  does anyone know how he did this?   mine will not move.

If your talking  about the gust lock on the js4100 it  works  fine  on my set up,  suggest you might run  the  js4100 installer   and use  the repair option  or if that fails use  the  uninstall/re install

And you'll find it easier to operate if you move to the FO seat (press A then Shift+A to return to pilot's seat).

Errr,   how  else would  the gust lock work if  you don't  actually  move  the handle to the lock or  unlock position?

By moving the throttles back according to the manual,  moves the gust lock to my understanding.

Maybe you should go back to the manual again and re read it again :P

Full names in the PMDG forums please, you can set up a signature block in your profile to do it automatically.

See the Introduction manual.  It is pretty clear on where the click spots are.  The gust lock is just a mouse click spot.

(...),  you guys can be helpful by offering up a solution.

As soon as you have provided your full real name in your signature block, the solution I will be offering is:

  • Open the J41 intro doc.
  • Type 'gust' into the pdf reader's search box.
  • Hit 'Enter'.
  • First hit is p.71, showing where the gust lock is located and how it is operated.
