With a Tu-134 around the world

Wonderful stuff Harald! :Applause:

Before you jump in your TU-134 I would like to give you a HU …..there is a storm brewing!

In the form of the TDS Boeing 727. You really need to sign up here:

Hiroshi is doing amazing things with this model!

For u FS9-simmers maybe isn`t important, but for FSX-simmers like me...A combo TDS with the latest patch for the Captain Sim 727 will be a must-have.

Yeah, sure, CS released yesterday a patch for the FSX CS727 fiver years after the patch 2.4!

Info here.

Thanks Ed for your comment and for the h/u regarding a TDS 727. Should I non-facebooker finally join facebook to have a look ...? For a 727 with TDS standard, comparable with the legendary Dreamfleet model, I'd do a lot! I miss the 30 min break when the INS warms up and aligns...

Hard to believe though that I can let my fingers off the Tupolev. In fact I plan to do a tour around the northern polar circle next winter.

And thank you Ce-Zeta, the double sim users will surely appreciate your info.

CS seems to sell the 727 for FS9 for only $9.99 now, but I think the TDS version will be much inferior.

The Dreamfleet 727 with the TDS external model is a win-win Harald, better than the CS+TDS combo, sure.

I think you should. I am a non-facebooker who joined…..just do not accept friends unless you want to know what they eat everyday. (well you can accept me as I do not put my life on FB)

Seriously you need to see the attention to detail that Hiroshi is putting into the model…..or in fact what will end up being loads of models with all their differences.

I used the opportunity to have a look today together with a simmer mate who is on FB. Really really really impressive!

A moving Cooper Vane... Yes that's love to detail.

I noticed Hiroshi plans to use the HJG panel. Unfortunately it's a good panel but the engine, hydraulic, fuel systems are simulated only very light. I hope the model has the potential to enhance the panel with these features (or as Ce-Zeta suggests to merge TDS and DF? - although I think this will hardly be possible due to the complexity of DF's systems, the DF 727 being the only plane that didn't work correctly after changing from WinXP to Win7). I think I will join FB to have a closer look at the modelling process.

Thanks Ed for the heads-up again!

P.S. A correction to my post #80: Of course I meant "but I think the TDS version will be much superior."

Great set again Harald  :Applause: …..but that's enough with the Bonanza …bring out the old iron.

She looks wonderful. Which model do you use? (Is it the Yuzefov model and if yes, do you use Meatwaters Add-pack v2.2?) And what's the home airport of your GA planes?

Yes she is the Yuzefov model but I have no idea what the meatwaters add-pack is. I was attracted to the Yak-18T because 1. Of her gorgeous radial engine note. 2. She was the most difficult GA simulation to fly because of her failures built in.

In the end I ended up re-writing her failures because she was too difficult to stop her engine cutting out and up graded her avionics.  B)

My home GA field is Duxford. An airfield I truly love IRL ( my parents had a house pretty close to it… in fact I have flown a circuit there and flown over their house in a Tiger Moth IRL)

The Meatwater Addpack is - as I understand - also a pack of modifications to correct some of the incorrect failures of the initial model. One cen get it at flightsim.com (filename yak18a22.zip). I wonder if you need it after your own modifications...

I have tried her years ago but at this time I preferred, let's say, less complicated aircraft. Time to give her a new try.

Thankyou for the HU Harald! I will give the file a try. I'm glad that a fix was made and it was not just me thinking  she was a bit too difficult to keep aloft.

BTW The outstanding freeware Duxford scenery is by the Airfield Construction Group

My other favourite GA field in real life is White Waltham (where I was training for my PPL) has a Russian engineering section where they fix Yaks and Sukhois would you believe.

Oh thanks, as the U.K. is still underrepresentated in my virtual world, I'll check them out. Maybe I come over with the Yak from "my" GA field Altenburg. Unfortunately, there are only few repaints, will perhaps do my own.
