With a Tu-134 around the world

Recommended Posts

Thankyou for the photos Harald.

I have pm'ed you the afcad to try,

When making your flight plan include BAGEM. When FSATC offers vectors for the ILS 31R approach do not accept and go to select another approach…select the ILS 31L approach and you will be offered  BAGEM or the BAGEM DME Arc. After that you will be cleared to the correct height for glideslope interception and all you have to do is contact the tower ……. no vectors! woohooo!.

This is what the normal BAGEM approach looks like.

Hi,

quite as an intermediate I posted some pictures from Central America.

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/467253-with-the-tu-134-in-central-america/

As one can see, the journey suffered from bad wheather, which will let no fun coming up when taking screenshots. I really thought that wheather conditions were better in caribic spring. I hope that they will improve soon for the oversea flights. Somehow it's time to come home slowly.

Ed, this is awesome. Many thanks.

Hopefully I can repeat the flight in some weeks with the Tu-134. I don't understand to make a video, but I surely will post some pictures.

Finished!

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/468616-tu-134-the-circle-is-closed/

Corresponding with this 60ies plane "made in the Soviet Union", I can't deliver a google maps log, but rather something very non-digital, but from the correct time...

As an epilogue, there will some pictures else from Kiev, Warsaw or Dresden...

Have fun!

Thanks for sharing your adventures Harald.  Truly inspiring and a fine example to those simmers who can't make up their mind as to where to fly next.

How many CTD's and ooms along the way?

- No OOM. I never had an OOM since using Win7, and before with WinXP also not often.

- Perhaps 2 or 3 crashs (no CTD, but "FS9 has stopped to work" type crashs). Most of them, if not all, occured in areas with extensive add-on sceneries, mostly freeware, that may have not well behaved with each other.

- A hand full of plane crashs occured due to invisible objects causing crashes in freeware sceneries or due to misbehaving AI planes (especially when being pushed back, they don't recognize the user's plane)

I think that is a quite good result...

Thanks guys for following the journey. Appliance is right - I already think of where and with which plane I fly next. Probably some mountain flying in the Caucasus with strange old planes and helicopters...

Glad that you like it; it's from my "Haack kleiner Atlas" by VEB (VolksEigener Betrieb=Peoples' Factory) Hermann Haack, Gotha 1986.
