 I did post this topic some minutes back but it did not show up hence once again.

 

 

 This may have already been discussed before but I do not seem to find it.

 

 I have done my research on the net and what I see are a mixed results as to the performance and stability of FSx steam against the boxed version.

 

 I tend to run it on my laptop like the boxed version even though I have a desktop which I seldom use now. Do not intend to use ORBX or PMDG stuff except Carenado / Alabeo and REX Direct,

 

I would appreciate all reviews from users who are using the steam version so that I can decide if I should purchase it.

I have it on a modest computer to current standards:

Phenom IIX6 2.8ghz, 8gb ram, Radeon 6950 2GB, SSD for Windows 7 64 and FSX, conventional HD to other programs.

I am very pleased with FSX Steam, I do not use ORBX,use only REX 4 Direct, FSUIPC and SweetFX.

Flight 737NGX, some Carenado, RealAir, A2A, Aerosoft Airbus, Csim 777...(Csim777 is the heaviest)

My long flights do not exceed 120 minutes, so do not know problems.

I have FSX Steam since launch, it encountered problems while used along with  FSX  box on the same computer, but I changed it.

He still does not work with Steam in offline mode, but according DTG likely problem solved in next week.

 Probably is different on all systems. 

 

 Guess I will wait it out.

I'd purchase it on next Steam sales.

There is no hurry to install it.
