Beta was the better format, but VHS somehow won that battle, hehe.

 

Love shots 5 & 6, the mountains and mist are very atmospheric!

I never did look at the cargo manifest Steve. Perhaps one contained VHS tapes....wouldn't that be ironic :lol:

Great post (and shots) Chris!

 

Rumour had it (here in the UK at least) that Betamax was generally regarded to be of better quality in every regard to VHS (and smaller cassettes!) but that VHS was sponsored by more of the big boys, and had significantly more $£$£$ behind it's marketing and promotion, and so won the format race of the early 80s! :smile:
