In the upper right hand corner, I used to get window titles.  They are not currently showing up.  Did I accidentally turn them off, and how do I get them back. 

 

Also, when I apply the brakes (and other such commands), the title doesn't  show in the lower right hand corner.

Thank You Jim.  I will check this out.

Also look in that section to see if you have a line that says "HideInfoText=yes  change it to no.
