Have you made any adjustments or modifications to the 182's Sound folder?

The A2A C182 uses integrated sounds (embedded in the gauge) for everything except engine sounds (the engine sounds are in the regular Sound folder.    So a lack of engine sounds (while still hearing the switchgear sounds etc, indicates an issue with the Sound folder perhaps.

Try hitting the Q button as well.   That is my knowledge on it
