Just reinstalled W7 pro and now I have CTD in Steam. It was OK till I installed PMDG777/NG. Looks like something to do with XAudio2_4.dll

Is it something to do with PMDG sound settings and my wireless headphones or it is W7 related?

Your audio driver is out of date most likely. I fixed mine with driver booster V 2.3 free. You could do it manually but the booster will give you an update of all drivers

Mind to share where did you get it? I googled it and there are several places where I can get it, one of them CNET but I don't trust that website. I had issues with it before

That's a Windows DirectX Direct Sound library. Usually those errors indicate that your sound card driver is out of date. Check the manufacturer's website for new version. The other more remote possibility is that you have an out of date version of DirectX.

I just reinstalled FSX:SE and PMDG aircraft and message during installation stated that I had similar or newer version of DIrect X.

CNET I think. I never tick express install but choose customize, that way I can untick the bloatware thats hidden. Try updating manually first and if you have no luck then post this in the CTD forum as its not a PMDG issue and you will get more advice
