Reinstalling V1,5 with 1,6 sound's folder?

Featured Replies

If i reinstall version 1,5 using v1,6 sound's folder, will it work? (or a new version is close to release?)

Thanks

yes it should work, but if there were any engine or prop type changes either in the air file or cfg then the sound events timings may not be exact the way you remember them to be...to my ears there really werent any sound changes in 1.6, cept they may have SLIGHTLY delayed the timing of the sound going from lower condition to higher.

What are you trying to achieve with the different sound files? Perhaps we can help you with that.

Probably trying V1.5  with newer sound to have a plane that will hold altitude without the +/-  500 ft swing , I'm actually using a older

version than that with the newer sound. and mine holds altitude just fine so it might not be in the autopilot coding at all. The change

that was made between 1.2 and 1.3  (getting the airplane to taxi without the LUA script) changed something that has the airplane hunting

the altitude.  I saved all of  mine except 1.2 and have even asked for them to send the .cfg to me so I can try to figure it out.

...there were changes made to the flight director recently, and that controls the a/p. Might have something to do with the altitude holding and poor IAS capture issues.

something is off just a bit for sure, also see if you notice at altitude say  15,000 ft with A/p on when it starts bouncing the alt gauge says 14,000 instead of

14,980. that's a little bothersome as well. not sure if it matters but it might .

Marty, I've seen that issue since Day v1.0

Some sort of bug in the digitized altitude readout...not certain if its an fsx issue or if it's something that can be changed. I know I don't have that issue with any other plane in my hangar...but I assumed since it has not been fixed yet that they're not sure what to do about it.

I hate when it happens though...always fools me into thinking that the altitude must have really gotten away from me! LOL Then I remember to just look at the needle instead of the readout, heh.

A/P maintained altitude correctly up to version 1,6. That's why i want to get back to version 1,5 but using 1.6 sounds set if it works.....

dunno, have you pointed him to the discussion threads here? Most of the time you need to use the contact us link on the flysimware store page.
