Lionhart Learjet Questions

Featured Replies

I am considering purchasing it and have a few questions important to my decision:

Does the Saitek radio and autopilot panel work with it and do all functions of them work?

Is it a fun aircraft to handfly? I enjoy short hops with lots of hand flying.

Do any gauges pop up in seperate windows to use on a second screen?

I'm actually flying it right now from KJAC to KSAN, sorry can't comment on the Saitek radio or autopilot but it is a fun aircraft to fly. Very fast, some would say over powered, but pretty easy to hand fly if you watch your speed....There are a number of 2D windows that pop up! For the money I think it's a pretty good deal! Flying her in P3D!

Thanks for the replies. How are the sounds from the cockpit?

Can anyone else chime in on the other questions regarding the Saitek?

She's a great bird climbs like a bat outta hell. I can be at FL410 in under 10 min. As for handling she Flys like a fighter and is great to hand fly. As for the radio panel,it works with my goflight ICS.

Thanks for your input. How does this aircraft compare overall to the Carenado Hawker, or the Phenom?

Better than the Phenom - I didn't care for the Hawker so I didn't buy it but the Cessna 550 is another good a/c.

What's a high cruise speed in the Lear?  Mach 85?

Normal cruise in the plane is 0.77 Mach at. 41,000 ft, can cruise at 0.80 with shorter range according to the documentation. I fly it at around .75 with no problem at 41,000 ft. Planning your decent can be a bit tricky... :o

What's the max range with full fuel and pax?

It's around 1100 nm/1265 miles. These are R/W figures not sure how close the Lionhart matches these figures.....

Oh it's a lot slower than I thought....  MMO on the H25B is .80  -decent enough - but comparable to the Lear.

We really need a nice nice fast jet.  Hopefully the ES C750 will deliver!!

At one time the Citation X was the fastest business jet, is that still true, or has one of the Gulfstreams past it

The two are extremely close. I think in level flight the C750 (or Citation Ten as they now call it) is faster. In a descent I think the G650 wins ever so slightly.
